Senior Flight Guide (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates this website. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it and the choices you have. We have written it in plain English on purpose.

1. The short version

• We do not sell or share your personal information for money or for cross-context behavioral advertising.
• We only collect information you deliberately give us — through the contact form — plus basic technical logs kept by our web host.
• We do not run advertising trackers on this site.
• Videos from YouTube load only after you click play.

2. Information we collect

a) Information you give us

When you use our contact form we collect your name, email address, the subject you select and the content of your message. We use this solely to read and answer your message.

b) Information collected automatically

Like nearly all websites, our web hosting provider keeps standard server logs. These may include your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, the pages you request, the date and time of the request, and the referring page. These logs are used for security, to diagnose faults and to understand aggregate traffic. They are not used to build a profile of you.

c) Local storage on your device

This site stores one small setting in your browser: the text size you choose using the “Text size” buttons in the header. It stays on your device, is readable only by this website, and is never sent to us. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

3. Cookies and similar technologies

We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. If you click play on an embedded YouTube video, YouTube may set cookies and receive data about that request, including your IP address. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and we load nothing from YouTube until you press play. Once you do, Google's own privacy policy governs that interaction.

4. How we use your information

• To answer the message you sent us.
• To correct or improve our guides when you point out an error.
• To keep the website secure and working correctly.
• To comply with law, or to respond to a valid legal request.

We do not use your contact-form details for marketing, and we do not add you to a mailing list.

5. Who we share information with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with service providers who make this website work, and only to the extent they need it:

• Our web hosting provider, which stores the website and its server logs.
• Our email provider, which delivers the messages sent through the contact form.
• YouTube (Google LLC), if and when you choose to play an embedded video.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect our rights, safety or property.

6. How long we keep it

Contact-form messages are kept as long as needed to handle your enquiry and to keep a record of corrections made to our guides, and are then deleted. Server logs are retained for a short period according to our host's standard practice.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold, including encrypted transmission (HTTPS). No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive personal information — medical details, financial account numbers or government ID numbers — through the contact form.

8. Your privacy rights

California residents (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident you have the right to know what personal information we have collected about you, to request its deletion, to request correction of inaccurate information, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. The categories we collect are identifiers (name, email, IP address) and internet activity (server logs), as described above. To make a request, use our contact form. We may need to verify your identity, usually by replying to the email address on file.

Other US states

Residents of states with comprehensive privacy laws — including Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas and others — have comparable rights to access, correct, delete and obtain a copy of their personal information. Use the same contact form to make a request.

Visitors from the EU, EEA, UK and Switzerland

If you are in one of these regions, we process your contact-form data on the basis of your consent and our legitimate interest in answering you. You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to that processing, and to data portability. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Do Not Track

Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” signal. There is no common standard for responding to it. We do not track visitors across websites in any case, so no additional action is required.

9. Children's privacy

This website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

10. Links to other websites

Our guides link to official government pages and other external websites. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices. We encourage you to read the privacy policy of any site you visit from here.

11. Affiliate links

Some guides may in future contain affiliate links. Where they do, the page will say so clearly. Clicking such a link may allow the partner to set a cookie so a purchase can be attributed to us. 12. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the site changes or the law changes. The “last updated” date at the top will always show the current version. Material changes will be noted on this page.
